President's Message
Welcome to the College of Advanced Information Technology. I am delighted that
you have chosen CAIT to pursue your education and training in the field of information
technology. CAIT is governed by the basic premise that; Higher Education is
by Definition the Process of Developing Human Potential. We respect the mature
student and recognize that a great deal of learning occurs outside the classroom.
We are a place where a person can begin again, can get the skills for a new for
a new career direction, or the skills to competitively position themselves in
the field of IT for the 21st Century.
Instruction at CAIT is innovative, personalized, collaborative, experientially
based and student centered. Classes are small and participatory. A rich diversity
of approaches to learning are honored. To this end, the college employs faculty,
services, curricular and facilities to equip students with the conceptual and
practical tools required to become contributing members of society and to achieve
success in the rapidly expanding and challenging field of IT.
The mission of CAIT is to empower its diverse student body to succeed in today's
dynamic world by integrating professional/technical skills and career-focused
education. Today's employers want employees who will be successful in tomorrow's
economy. Businesses and organizations are changing rapidly. Structured job descriptions
are being replaced by work that needs to be done. Employers are looking for people
who have diverse skills and work in teams to accomplish tasks. Job security no
longer comes from company loyalty, but from a worker's ability to learn and change.
Regardless of your chosen career path there are skills that employers will expect
you to possess in the future. Among the most important identified through surveys
of corporate leaders is information technology skills. CAIT's IT programs are
designed with the options so that individuals can choose the right paths to their
futures in tomorrow's economy in the field of IT.
